明治44年創業の金沢にある和菓子の老舗、村上製菓所のパッケージデザインです。
　すべての商品に、金沢独特の風土から導きだした色彩体系を使用することで、村上ブランドとしての緩やかな統一性を目指しました。また商品固有の特性を伝達するために、日本の伝統的文様をもとにしたパターンを開発し、商品の特徴を記号化しました。この手法によって、老舗としての伝統感を維持しながら、中身のわかりやすさと商品個々の独自性、そして現代的で親しみやすい表情を実現しました。
　これらの色彩とパターンによる商品群は、店頭においても、詰め合わせた場合においても、相互に調和しながらそれぞれが主張しあい、華やかな風景を形づくっています。

We deem coexistence of indigenous locality and today's value as one of the design issues.
Murakami Confectionary is an old Japanese sweets shop in Kanazawa established in 1911. It was required in the project that making the package be adapted to today's life by weaving local distinctions into every design element. We tried to keep the originality of store's various merchandise and to bring unified atmosphere to the package by eying the climate unique to Kanazawa with controlling colors and typefaces.
In this corporate identity project, we succeeded in making use of the old store's readily holding value while keeping today's quality by re-compiling existing design elements such as a house crest, old brush scripts alike.
