Category: Branding Date: 1995

The Toyonokuni Libraries are multiple public facilities consisting of library, municipal government archive and philosophers' archive. The cubic space of the library's reading room was divided evenly by a hundred columns. An architect Arata Isozaki who planned the facilities named the library as "the room of a hundred columns." The symbol Mark was developed based on the formative motif with architectural space with cubic and columns, the capital "T" of Toyonokuni as regional characteristics and multiple public facilities with three buildings. Three graphical columns represent three sources of information and small square elements express information transmitted from respective facilities. These are organically relating to each other and forming Toyonokuni's intellectual and sophisticated forest of information.
