However, wave of internationalization has brought various influence and change to Japanese food culture. "Kikkoman" with four hundred years history has also faced varying food environment. Provided mass production and distribution, as a national brand, "Kikkoman" has been required to keep the stable quality and the supply of products in any era. A primary design development concept was that a product package was the face of a company and the communication tool between users. The tough face derived from Kikkoman's long survived history is its asset and identity.
