現在、自転車と歩行者の事故は、深刻な問題になりつつあります。この計画は、福岡市の天神地区で、We Love 天神協議会が行っている自転車事故防止のためのサイン計画です。協議会では歩道で自転車をおすことをPRするために「おしチャリ」という親しみやすい言葉を設定し、将来的にはピクトグラムとしての展開を想定したシンボルを開発しました。写真はシンボルを原寸にした「おしチャリ」キャンペーン用のサインです。

Currently an accident between a bicycle and a pedestrian has been becoming a serious issue.
This is a signage plan to prevent a bicycle accident initiated by We Love Tenjin Council at Tenjin district in Fukuoka City. The council set a new word familiar to people saying "Oshi-chari" (means to wheel a bicycle) to promote wheeling a bicycle on the sidewalk. The signage was thought out in anticipation of future development of the symbol into a pictogram. This picture shows the life size symbol for "Oshi-chari" campaign.
