“Zunda Saryo” Visual Identity Project
Kasho Sanzen Co., Ltd.

Category: Branding Date: 2004

Kasho Sanzen is located in the City of Sendai, Miyagi prefecture, which is doing wider range of business from Japanese sweets to Western sweets with principles of Japanese spirit and Western ingenuity integrated. Especially "Zunda-mochi," food native to Miyagi and Yamagata region, made by Sanzen is highly praised in the market.
The reason of the popularity is derived from down to earth adherence on using genuine beans produced in Yamagata and rice named "Miyakogane" from Miyagi. The desire to serve the devoted products to people in Tokyo led to the opening of a shop in the basement floor of Tokyo Daimaru department store. In the shop plan, the visual image of the brand was set to be the most important point. This was the very expression of Japanese spirit and Western ingenuity integrated in native food and modern sweets. The integration was expressed by the combination of two distinctive bunches of beans as the motif, and logotype in Alphabet for the symbol.
