VersaWorks 6は、ローランドDG社のインクジェットプリンターに標準付属するリップ＆プリントマネジメントソフトウェアです。従来の優れた基本性能や操作性を引継ぎ、より効率的で信頼性の高い出力業務を実現するために開発されました。本計画ではソフトウェアブランドとしての新しい表情と共に、GUIの総合的なアップデートをGKインダストリアルデザインと共に行いました。
新しいシンボルは、VersaWorksの頭文字「V」と「W」をひとつに繋げることで、双方向性やAIの想起など将来へ向けた「先進性」を表現しています。またGUIにおいては、従来のレイアウトを継承することでユーザーの違和感の無い移行を実現すると共に、シンプルで明確な画面設計による視認性の向上など、より快適に操作するためのデザインを施してあります。

An RIP and print management software that comes as a standard equipment of Roland DG’s inkjet printers, inheriting the high level basic performance and usability of the previous product and with added efficiency and reliability to support printing jobs. This project aimed to create a new expression as a software brand, along with an overall update of the graphic user interface, carried out in collaboration with GK Industrial Design.
The new logo connects the V and W of VersaWorks to express futuristic innovativeness through associations with interactivity and AIs. The GUI inherits the previous layout for smooth transition of existing users, at the same time adopting design details to improve comfortable use such as simple and clear screen format providing better visibility.
