福山ミステリー文学新人賞は、推理作家 島田荘司 の出身地である広島県福山市が主催する公募文学賞です。2017年のトロフィーリニューアルに際し、GKテック、GKダイナミックスとの共同でデザインしました。初代トロフィーを手がけた榮久庵憲司（GKデザイングループ創設者）の考えを継承しながら、現代の価値観に適応する品格を目指しました。デザインにおいては、福山市の市章に用いられているコウモリのモチーフを、一枚の紙から多様な形態へと展開する折り紙の手法によって表現しました。ひとつの形が折りによって異なる姿へと変化していくそのあり方は、「同じものごとでも伝え方によって異なる事象が現れる」というミステリーの本質を象徴しています。

The Fukuyama Mystery Literature Newcomer Award is an open literary competition organized by Fukuyama City in Hiroshima Prefecture, the hometown of mystery writer Soji Shimada. On the occasion of the trophy renewal in 2017, the design was developed in collaboration with GK Tech and GK Dynamics. While inheriting the philosophy of Kenji Ekuan (founder of the GK Design Group), who designed the original trophy, we aimed to achieve a sense of dignity that aligns with contemporary values.
　In the design, the bat motif used in the official emblem of Fukuyama City is expressed through an origami approach, in which a single sheet of paper unfolds into multiple forms. The way a single form transforms into different appearances through folding symbolizes the essence of mystery—that the same subject can give rise to different phenomena depending on how it is conveyed.
