City Planning Institution of Japan was established in 1951 for developing science, technology and research about a city and regional planning. It has been playing a leading role in city planning field in Japan for about a half century after World War II.
Two hundred fifty volumes of the circulation "City Planning" has been published since the publication started. Along with the change of its format to A4, the cover and whole layout were renewed. The activities of the institution about "city planning "in wide range such as a variety of academic and cultural activities and the state of its 5,500 constituting members from many fields were delineated in the cover. Yearly change of the primary color is being scheduled.
Raising readers' interest and easy-to-read editorial design were tried.
