We made the basic design and set of design guidelines for product catalogues in Konica Minolta's business technologies segment.
The catalogues were given a unified visual design to form a consistent brand image across the whole business technologies segment. At the same time different expressions were applied according to product category to allow easy identification of catalogues. The basic design for the covers divide the layout into large color planes and place information in the same position across all catalogues, making a structural frame to systematically convey necessary information. We also made a manual of guidelines explaining the concepts and basic usage for cover, inside pages and back cover, in order to maintain the brand image and information system regardless of who executes or manages individual designs in the future.
