「宮の注染を拓く」は宇都宮美術館が主体となり行われた市民参加型プロジェクトです。
市民、宇都宮大学、中川染工場、宇都宮美術館、そしてGKグラフィックスの５者が、それぞれの経験や知恵を結集し、地域の特性を伝える新しいパターンデザインを共創しました。 GKグラフィックスはプロジェクト全体のアートディレクションを中心としたマネジメントを担当し、ワークショップの運営、公募されたパターンデザインの監修、プロセスを共有するための印刷物のデザインなどを行いました。

The "Revival of CHUSEN Dyeing in Utsunomiya" is a citizen participation project led by the Utsunomiya Museum of Art.
The citizens, Utsunomiya University, Nakagawa Dyeing Factory, Utsunomiya Museum of Art and GK Graphics brought together their experiences and knowledge to co-create a new pattern design to express the uniqueness of the local community. GK Graphics was committed in art direction and managing the whole project, responsible for workshop management and facilitation, overall supervision of the pattern applications, and editorial design of the booklets recording the whole project including its process.
