19世紀中頃、ナイチンゲールは、患者の回復には自然の緑が大切であることを記しています。この計画では、施設に隣接する森との繋がりを顕在化することで、患者やそこに働く人々に癒しを与えることを主眼としてデザインしました。また病院の利用者にとっては「読む」行為は、通常よりも大きな負担がかかる為に、独自の書体選択と制御を行っています。同時に初めての来訪者が、安心して院内を移動できるように、施設主要部において光によるリニア型誘導を試みました。 2006年度SDA優秀賞
In mid nineteenth century, Nightingale wrote that green in nature is important for recovery of a patient. The design project focused on bringing relieved feeling to a patient and a worker in the hospital by elucidating the woods adjacent to the facilities. Also for a visitor to the hospital, the act of "reading" gives the visitor a little more stress than usual, so that a unique selection and control of a typeface were carried out. At the same time, a linear style direction by the light at a major part of the facilities was implemented for a first time visitor's move at ease in the hospital.
